Fuzzi Bunz

In an effort to try and do the right thing for our environment, Tyler and I decided to use cloth diapers instead of disposables. After much research, I opted to go with Fuzzi Bunz, a pocket diaper. Since the newborn size only fits for a short time, we chose to go with the next size and just use disposables until he fit into them.It has been 3 months now that Owen has been wearing his Fuzzi Bunz and we're quite happy with them. They were an adjustment after using disposables for 2 months, but seem to work quite well. I have to change him a bit more frequently than disposables, but we don't have too many leaks. We double up on the liners at night and he wakes up dry. We haven't had any diaper rashes either!I was a bit worried about the diaper pail odor (they are stored in a dry pail), but it hasn’t been too bad. I was also worried about washing them, but after a cold rinse, hot wash with another cold rinse, they come clean without any extra effort. It’s pretty impressive! I only bought 12 diapers in the small size so I have to wash them almost daily, but when I order the next size (very soon!) I’ll probably get 20 so I only have to a load every other day. They come in lots of fun colors too!
Though the cost is only a bit cheaper than disposables we figure we’ll see the cost savings if/when baby #2 comes along (and no, this isn’t happening any time soon!). We’re just happy to know that we’re not sending loads and loads of disposables into a landfill that will still be there when Owen is old enough to blog about his children (if they’re still blogging then!).

Awesome! Before Josiah was born a friend sent us G Diapers, which we'd never used for Kyleigh, but were glad for a new idea for our son. I've never tried the fuzzi bunz, do you order them online?
