I'm now a week overdue. We went to the doctor yesterday and she advised that we get things moving a bit. To do so we are going to the hospital tomorrow morning. They'll give me a drug to soften my cervix. I'll have to lay flat for 2 hours and then stay for another 10 for them to continue to monitor the baby. It will be a long day at the hospital, but at least I won't be in pain!
The process doesn't necessarily lead to labor, but will help move things along if contractions start. If my body doesn't start contractions on its own by Monday then we'll likely induce on Tuesday or Wednesday. We'll see. We're just ready to meet this little one!
