We started on Saturday morning with a train ride east to our start point. Richard, Ben and I hiked Saturday (in the RAIN) about 20 kms to the city of Wonju where John met up with us (he had to work on Saturday).
While we spend Saturday mostly on the road, Sunday found us doing much more off road hiking. This also made for much slower progress - especially when we couldn't resist a dip in the BRISK river water halfway through a hot day of hiking.
Needless to say, we are boys at heart. We couldn't resist exploring an under construction road tunnel - luckily it actually went all the way through! We are unsure if it saved us any distance, but it was interesting.
To say the least, we were very sore to start each day.
Tuesday was gladly our last day of hiking. We finished with about 20 kms, then took the subway the rest of the way back to Seoul. We were happy to have a seat on the train and know that our legs could now have a break.

Looks like it was a really fun hike. I am not sure why you enjoy hiking except the end of it. I'd rather go shopping or play Mexican Train! Glad you enjoy your friends and the swimming looks refreshing. Love, Mom
