Girl Time

What a treat it was for me this weekend! Tyler had Monday and Tuesday off (it was Chusok, Korean Thanksgiving--this is the only Korean holiday he gets off!). He made plans with the guys from our small group from our church back up in Seoul to do a hike across Korea over the weekend (post about that to follow!). That meant that us ladies were going to be "husbandless" for the weekend so we got together in Seoul and "slumber partied" all weekend. So much fun!

We spent lots of time talking (we're girls, what do you expect?!), laughing, eating lots of yummy food (calories don't count when you're with friends!) and watching movies. It was such and absolute joy to be around friends, and such an encouragement too. I admire each of these women so much and each one has inspired me in my walk with the Lord in more ways than I'm sure they know. They have (and their husbands) become our family away from home. And what a blessing they are!

Norma, whose apartment we spent most of our time in (thank you, Norma!), celebrated her birthday on Monday. We spent the evening at Sheena's house. Since the sun was setting shortly after we arrived we all went up to their roof and tried to take it all in. Check out the view...
We chopped all sorts of toppings for a salad buffet (Norma loves her salad!) and then enjoyed a delicious cheesecake for dessert, compliments of Sheena. YUM!!

Norma's little girl, Evanesce (15 mo.), got to stay with us girls too. She is such a cutie--very active--and so much fun.
Praise God for giving us times of rejuvenation. These are certainly friendships I will cherish for many years to come...

Dana, you look awfully happy holding that little girl!!!! Sounds like you and your friends had a delightful time together. How fortunate to have such great friends and the ability to get together occasionally. Love, Joan
