Where does the time go?

Happy Easter! Do any of you find it hard to believe that it's already the first weekend in April? So much has been happening with us that we haven't had much time to keep y'all updated.

Tyler took company command on March 2nd.
Some of our "non-military" friends came down from Seoul for the ceremony and that made it extra special. Tyler was busy preparing for that through most of February and he's been busy ever since. I think that will be his permenant state of being for the next year or so! Though Tyler moved down to Weagwan before he took command (he stayed in one of the barracks rooms), I remained up in Seoul. Due to complications with Tyler's orders, we weren't able to move out of our apartment until March 12. It was a sad day for me as I was not quite ready to move on. After much searching, we found an apartment in Weagwan and moved in on March 23. We're only just now feeling settled here. We don't have quite as much room as we did before (we were really spoiled with our place in Seoul!), but we do have a guest room and we'd LOVE to have visitors.

As far as my job situation, I'm going to continue to work at the Chosun until the middle of June. I wanted to stay through the end of the fiscal year and the audit. This gives the organization time to find someone to replace me, but also allows me to look for a job down here in the meantime. Currently I take the train up on Tuesday mornings (about 2.5 hours) and stay with a friend (who happens to be a co-worker, which works out really well!) through Thursday. It's not ideal, but it's worked out much better than I anticipated.

It's been a big struggle to adjust to life down here. Our resources are much more limited in this new community. This affects us in numerous ways: what groceries/household items we can buy, where we can go to church and what we can do with our free time. My job opportunities are also limited. On the flip side, the air quality is better down here, and there aren't near the traffic hassles! We are looking forward to exploring more of the surrounding area as the weather continues to get warmer.

We covet your prayers as we continue to seek God's purpose for us down here. We are doing our best to give up our worry and trust that He will provide.
