Jeju Trip continued

Hey Everyone - Well, as promised here is a bit more about our trip to Jeju Island: the weather left a bit to be desired, but it was still a nice weekend. We had a few hours of clear skies, but most of the time, both mount Hallasan (the mountain in the middle of the island) and the coast were socked in with clouds/fog. The first picture here is one of us on Sunrise peak looking down over the small town on the East Coast. This was one of the clearer weather moments that we had.

This next picture is of us on the next day on the South coast. The weather was a bit nicer this day, and we had a very pleasant time just walking along the path that runs along the coast in this park. The water here was beautiful especially with the color contrast of the rocks and the greenery around.

This picture is of us in front of some traditional Korean statues (called Dolharubangs) that are placed at grave sites to watch over the dead. It was interesting to read about how this culture viewed/views the dead and the responsibility of those surviving.

This last picture is of us on a swing at a Bonsai Tree park. The man who started this park is a big nature lover who believes that we can learn a lot from studying trees and plants and how they act/react. It was a bit over the top for us, but the park was neat and there were a lot of very interesting trees. It was crazy to see the shapes that they can get trees to grow in!
