Happy Thanksgiving everyone! It's always a bit sad not to be able to spend Thanksgiving with our families. We know, however, that we have SO much for which to be thankful. We hope you feel the same way.
Since we knew we were going to be eating lots of great food at a gathering with some of Tyler's soldiers and their families, we thought we'd start the day off with a run. We ran in the Turkey Trot 5k. I was the only female in my age group so I got first place. The prize? A 16 lb. turkey! Tyler was gracious enough to run slowly with me instead of at his usual speedy pace.
We enjoyed a huge spread of food (to which we contributed 20 pounds of mashed potatoes!) that afternoon. I think I was still full when I went to bed! We had a wonderful time chatting, laughing and playing/watching a pick-up game of football. I think that the soldiers enjoyed themselves and had a little taste of home too.

We are glad you had a great Thanksgiving dinner with the soldiers there and winning a turkey, what will you do with it?
One of these days (years) we will be able to share Thanksgiving with you again. Love, Bruce and Mom
