He participated in a similar training exercise back in March, a couple weeks after we got here. Because I wasn't working and didn't know anyone, the days were long and lonely. This time it's different-praise God! Work has been keeping me quite busy, but I really enjoy what I'm doing. I've also become friends with quite a few of the ladies who work with me. In fact, last night we all got together for a potluck dinner party of sorts (most of the other ladies' husbands are gone for the training too). It reminded me of my time back at Ft. Campbell when Tyler was deployed to Iraq. What a blessing friends are, both new and old. I'm sure we'll find plenty more fun things to do while the guys are gone!

While the cat's away...the mice will play...
Tyler left on Monday to participate in a training exercise down in Teagu. He should be back around the first of September. It's never fun to have him gone, but compared with what a lot of other Army spouses are dealing with, three weeks is minor!
